Academic Activities Of The Department

• The teachers of the department are actively involved in evolving newer methods of classroom teaching.
• They upgrade themselves through regular attendance of Seminars, Workshops and Conferences both at National and International levels.
• The department has a moderately stocked Departmental Library.
• The department has a moderately equipped laboratory.
• The department has an Over head Projector and Computer with Internet Facility.
• Use of ICT for teaching

Co-Curricular Activities

• The students of the department take immense interest in the different co- curricular activities of the Department.
• They actively participate in the Quiz Competitions, different Social Welfare and Awareness Programs, Seminars, etc.
• The students prepare and publish the departmental Wall Magazine.
• Excursions are conducted regularly as per the U.G. syllabus of Calcutta University and the students successfully execute their responsibilities and cooperate with the teachers and staff during such excursions.
• Field trips and Departmental Reunion are also held.
• Celebrating Freshers' Welcome of new students and Farewell of Final Year students.

Extra Curricular Activities

• The students actively participate in sports.
• Students participate in the Blood Donation Camp organized in the College every year.
• They also actively participate in the Eye Check-up camp, Health Check-up camps, Awareness Programme on AIDS, Save the Girl Child, Gender Sensitization,etc organized by the college.
• Many of the students can sing, dance, recite, write articles and poems, etc. and actively participate in the annual social and other cultural events.
